Beauty Battle: Brow Gels

Happy Friday everyone!! Today I thought I would start a new series on my blog called Beauty Battles. I try a ton of different beauty items, so I thought that it would be a good idea to compare similar products, and let you know which ones I recommend. Today I'll be talking all about brow gels, which is a product that I use almost every day.

First up, Benefit's Speed Brow* ($22 CAD/0.10 oz.) - This brow gel does look tinted, but I really don't find that any colour shows up on my brows. I've been using this brow gel after using a powder on my brows, and this formula gives a light hold without feeling crunchy.

Tweezerman BrowMousse* - This formula is super lightweight, yet it gives my brows good control. This tube has lasted me ages, but I think that I'm finally nearing the end. The wand for this product is a bit bigger, but I really don't mind. Unfortunately, this product isn't available on Tweezerman's online store, and I can't find the suggested price!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel ($29 CAD/0.28 oz, mini shown in pictures) - This product seems very pricey, but it's actually a much better value than Benefit's Speed Brow. I absolutely love this formula, the brand really knows how to make a good brow product. The wand is a good size, and allows you to shape your brows at the same time. This gives great hold while feeling lightweight on your brows.

While I do enjoy all three of these brow gels, my top recommendation would have to be Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel. If Tweezerman's products were more accessible, that one may have won. Have you tried any of these three brow gels? What is your favourite formula? :)

  2. oh great to hear about Anastasia because i actually have that one waiting to be used! i am currently using ELF and that's my usual one, I have tried Essence as well but don't really like it as much. Maybe in the future I can do a budget version of this hehe because that seems to be mostly what I have :) this series is fun, I always love direct comparisons like this!

  3. I didn't know that Benefit had another brow tint product! I really like Gimme Brow, but I also find that sometimes it's better as a setting gel than a stand-alone product. Great review!

    1. Ya, it's really never talked about! I agree, Gimme Brow is great for light brow work, but not for a dramatic brow!
