There's something about Benefit's packaging - no matter what it is, I want to try it. Their Stay Flawless 15 - Hour Primer* ($38 CAD/15.5g) was no exception. I've heard a ton of mixed reviews on this primer, I just had to try it out for myself.
Benefit's Stay Flawless 15 - Hour Primer comes packaged in an adorable black and white polka dotted tube. The product twists up, and it includes a second plastic cap to keep the product nice and fresh. Be sure to keep this little plastic came (pictured below), because I've heard many girls say that their tube had dried out without it!
Keep the cap!
This primer is beige in the tube, but it applies completely clear, so people of all skin tones will be able to use this product. I apply this primer right from the tube onto my entire face, and then pat in the product with my fingers. This primer feels silky, and melts into my skin easily. I'll then apply my foundation - I've tried both foundation sticks and liquid foundation. My foundation blends in nicely, and it truly does stay on all day long. I'm writing this review at 3 am (don't ask!), and my makeup still looks flawless. Now, I don't have oily skin, but I can still say that this primer prolongs life wear-time of my foundation.
If you're looking for a primer to truly extend the life of your foundation, I think that this is a great option. The only con to this product is the price - at almost $40, this is definitely a splurge. However, I've found that using a good primer can make a drugstore foundation look even better, so you can save a bit of cash in that respect. Have you tried Benefit's Stay Flawless 15 - Hour Primer? I would love to hear your thoughts on this somewhat controversial product! People seem to either love or hate it!
Loved this one, one of the longest lasting primer I have tried!
ReplyDeleteIt's really nice! :)
DeleteYour review on this makes me want to try it out! I've definitely heard a ton of mixed reviews, but more are on the negative side. I'm still intrigued by this primer!

Thanks! I know, I honestly went into trying this product thinking I wouldn't like it based on the reviews I've read, but it really surprised me!! :)
DeleteThis sounds really nice! Love the packaging too! :)
ReplyDeleteAll of Benefit's packaging is super adorable! :)
DeleteI like the polka dot cap. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just bought my first eye primer a few weeks ago - the Stay Don't Stray thanks to you! ;-) So I don't use face primers yet, but I'm sure at one point I will. I agree that this one is quite pricy, but if it delivers sometimes the price is worth it.
I'm so glad that you're liking Stay Don't Stray! I've just gotten into face primer in the past year or so, but now I really love them! :)
DeleteI think my jaw dropped at the price. (BENEFIT, Y SO EXPENSIU???)
ReplyDeleteI've also heard mixed reviews about the product, and though I've yet to find a primer that works for me, I'll probably also pass by this because I'm fine powdering my face. IF ONLY I CAN SOMEHOW GET A SAMPLE OF THIS PRODUCT :D
I know, so pricey :( Definitely see if they can somehow make a sample of this!
DeleteI tried a little sample of this and thought it worked really well. It does feel a little bit heavy but that didn't really bother me.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you apply a thin layer, then you won't feel it on your skin at all! :)
