Happy Sunday everyone! :) Today I have I'm bringing review & giveaway for a Bio-Oil* prize pack! I've used this oil before, and I'm glad to have it back in my life. I know that most people see Bio-Oil as a stretch mark oil, but it really does have many more uses. Even if you don't have issues with stretch marks, I think that you would enjoy using this product.
Sandy Gold worked to come up with easy beauty solutions using Bio-Oil, and I think they're pretty genius!
HANDS: WRAP THEM UP
Harsh winter weather can be hard on your hands, causing dry, rough skin and cracked cuticles. Try this super easy hand wrap to re-hydrate and add moisture back into the skin; you’ll swear you’re sitting at a spa!
Add 6 drops of Bio-Oil to a small bowl of hot water. Dip a soft face towel into the water and wring it out. Repeat with a second towel. Wrap both towels around your hands, gently pressing into your skin and cuticles. Leave on your hands and relax for several minutes; pat dry.
FEET: ENJOY A RELAXING FOOT BATH
Use Bio-Oil to create a soothing, moisturizing foot soak in seconds.
In a large bowl, add 10 drops of Bio-Oil to 1 gallon warm water. Immerse your feet in the mixture and relax. Remove feet and pat dry to reveal smoother, softer skin.
*Try adding clean marbles to the bottom of the bowl while your feet are soaking for extra relaxation – simply roll your feet over the marbles for a gentle massage.
EYEBROWS: KEEP YOUR BROWS IN PLACE Apply a small amount of Bio-Oil to a clean, disposable mascara wand or cotton swab and gently run through your brows. This will help keep hairs in place while moisturizing your eyebrow hairs at the same time.
BODY: NOURISH DRY SKIN
Say goodbye to dry, rough patches by massaging Bio-Oil into the areas that need it most (like the elbows and knees). Repeated daily, this will help soften dehydrated skin and help maintain smooth skin.
FACE: EXFOLIATE TO REMOVE DRY SKIN
Exfoliating regularly helps your body shed dead skin cells that can build up on the surface of the skin. Use a gentle exfoliant once or twice a week to create a smooth base for makeup application and to keep your complexion looking radiant.
Try adding 2 drops of Bio-Oil to your favourite homemade facial scrub. This recipe not only smells delicious but will leave skin feeling super soft!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp. mashed banana
2 tsp. honey
1 tsp. sugar
Directions:
Blend ingredients in a bowl. Apply in a circular motion to face and neck. Gently rinse with warm water and a soft face cloth.
LIPS: LIP EXFOLIANT Kiss dry, chapped winter lips goodbye with Bio-Oil.
Mix honey, sugar and one drop of Bio-Oil into a small bowl. Apply on the lips in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water to reveal smooth, soft lips.
Also, apply a small amount of Bio-Oil with a cotton swab around the edge of your lips morning and/or night to help lock in moisture and maintain moisturized lips.
SKIN: MOISTURIZE
Try replacing your usual cream or lotion this winter and get smooth, silky skin with Bio-Oil instead.
Warm up a dime-sized amount of Bio-Oil in the palm of your hands. Gently press and pat into your skin, including the eye area. Bio-Oil has a unique formula that locks in moisture, allowing important ingredients like Vitamins A & E, Lavender & Chamomile Oil to be absorbed into the skin rapidly. It also forms a thick, non-greasy barrier to help prevent further moisture loss, making this an especially great treatment in the winter when our skin is exposed to the drying effects of extreme weather conditions, cold wind, frequent bathing and central heating.
SKIN: CREATE A SMOOTH BASE FOR FOUNDATION
Apply a pea-sized amount of Bio-Oil with a makeup sponge to clean skin, focusing on the areas that tend to be more dry. Wait several minutes for the Bio-Oil to absorb into the skin before makeup application. Foundation glides on looking smooth and even.
HAIR: SOFTEN SPLIT ENDS
Warm up a pea-sized amount of Bio Oil in the palm of your hands; apply it to the ends of your hair one hour before shampooing. This will help soften split ends and add shine. Also try adding Bio-Oil to dry hair to reduce frizz and tame fly-aways from extreme weather and winter hats.
Bio-Oil is hypoallergenic and non-acnegenic, and suitable for all skin types including oily and sensitive skin.
I really love using Bio-Oil on my legs, as they can get so dry. A few drops goes a long way (if you use too much you will feel oily), and my skin is left feeling soft and plump. There is a slightly spicy scent to this (think gingerbread-ish), and the scent does linger on my skin for about an hour. I've also been loving adding a drop or two of Bio-Oil into the ends of my hair. I'm long overdue for a cut, and my ends are loving the extra TLC!
If you want to try out Bio-Oil for yourself, you're in luck because I have a giveaway for my Canadian readers! One reader will win a 200ml bottle of Bio-Oil, plus a 60ml bottle that is ideal for travel, along with a stylish orange travel wallet. Enter in the Rafflecopter widget below - good luck!
