Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes

I normally don't reach for facial wipes, but I do have to admit that they're super convenient. I've been trying out a few different brands to see which ones I want to take with me on my upcoming trip to China, and I've been loving Dermalogica's PreCleanse Wipes* ($27 CAD/20 wipes).

"Achieve ultra clean and healthy skin on the go with the Double Cleanse regimen that begins with PreCleanse. Each biodegradable wipe melts away layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, environmental pollutants and residual products that build up on skin throughout the day. Add water to transform this hydrophilic (water-loving) formula into a milky emulsion that easily rinses debris from the skin's surface, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results. Formulated with skin-softening Aloe and Apricot oils, conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E, this gentle blend can also be used around the eye area to remove waterproof mascara. Offers a deep-cleansing ideal for even the most oily skin conditions. Formulated without artificial fragrances, colors or parabens." - Dermalogica

Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes

Dermalogica's PreCleanse Wipes comes in a small silver/grey package, with a resealable sticker-closure. These wipes have a very mild scent that is also quite calming. I first noticed that Dermalogica's PreCleanse Wipes are not as moist as other wipes that I've tried - they're actually quite dry. This initially put me off, but I still gave them a chance. I was really pleasantly surprised by how well these wipes work, even though they're a bit drier. The best way to describe these wipes is a wipe covered in a dry oil. The slightly oily texture emulsifies and removes makeup incredibly easily, leaving my skin completely makeup free! These wipes are very gentle on my sensitive eyes, which I definitely appreciate. I've also noticed that after using Dermalogica's PreCleanse Wipes, my skin feels so smooth, and it has a nice radiant glow to it. As the name suggests, these are to be used prior to cleansing with a proper cleanser - these wipes are just to remove makeup.

I definitely think these are a hit! Unfortunately, these are super pricey, but they are definitely worth the splurge if you have some extra cash. Are you a fan of makeup remover wipes? Which brand/formula has been your favourite?

  1. I love the regular Precleanse oil, so this seems like a great travel option! It's also great that they are biodegradable as I always feel guilty throwing away regular wipes.

  2. I like to have wipes on hand for when I'm lazy, but I always find that they're only good at removing makeup to a certain extrent and always need to wash afterwards. I have not found my favourite wipes yet.

  7. I love make-up wipes to remove my eye makeup before cleansing, especially the Simple ones. I think it's funny that these are specifically called pre-cleanse.
