Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric #1 Translucent Strawberry

I've been trying out a lot of different cream blushes over the last month or so, and my latest obsession has been Giorgio Armani's Blushing Fabric in the shade #1 Translucent Strawberry* ($39/20 ml). This was my first time trying anything out from the brand, and I was really excited to do so! Read on to hear my full thoughts on this unique blush...

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric Packaging

"Crafted as a micro-blend of pure water-soluble pigments and laquers, this cushiony formula delivers buildable color for cheek and face that is both imperceptible and long-lasting.
ARTIST TIP: Squeeze a small amount on the back of your hand and apply with fingertips to the apple of your cheeks. Buff to perfection with the Blush Brush. Blend to desired result using your middle and pointer fingers." - Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani's Blushing Fabric comes in colour-coded packaging, which is perfect if you own multiple shades. The plastic tube has a screw-off lid, and you simply squeeze out the product. This formula is unlike anything that I've tried before. As you can see in the swatches below, this blush has a watery, jelly-like formula. As the shade name (Translucent Strawberry) suggests, this shade does swatch fairly sheer. You can build up the colour a bit with two or three layers. I like to use my fingers to apply this blush, and it blends into my skin like a dream! This blush is almost fool proof - it takes seconds to apply & I always love the results!

Shade #1 Translucent Strawberry is a beautiful pink based red that looks like a natural flush on my cheeks. This blush dries to a very natural finish, which is neither dewy nor matte. It really does blend into my skin perfectly! This formula lasts for about 7 hours before fading, but you can layer a powder blush over top for an even longer wear-time. I've found that Tarte's Frisky is a good shade match!

I definitely think that these blushes are worth checking out! I haven't heard too much about them in the blog world, and I'm not sure why that is. I'm wanting to try out another shade from this range - #3 Shimmering Apricot Pink looks beautiful! Have you tried any of Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabrics before? Are you a fan of cream or powder blushes?

  9. This is so pretty and bright -- it sheers out a lot, though...it looks very natural, which is a good thing! One of those toss-and-go products. :)
