KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Wash, Rinse, & Immortelle Infused Treatment Oil

Last year, I reviewed KEVIN.MURPHY's Young.Again.Masque, which I absolutely loved. Lately I've been testing out the rest of the Young.Again line, which includes a Wash*, Rinse*, & Immortelle Infused Treatment Oil*. My hair is fairly dry, very thick, wavy/curly, and I do dye my hair dark brown.

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Wash, Rinse, & Immortelle Infused Treatment Oil

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Wash

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Wash

Young.Again Wash ($35/250 mL) -

"A restorative shampoo containing a complex of 20 Amino Acids. Anti-ageing extracts from Lotus flower and Orchid help to renew youthful lustre and shine to dry brittle hair. Directions: Apply to wet hair and massage into hair and scalp. Rinse and repeat." - KEVIN.MURPHY

This entire line has a beautiful salon scent with a hint of citrus. This shampoo is fairly thick in consistency, and creates a nice lather. I work this into my scalp for about a minute, and then fully rinse. All of KEVIN.MURPHY's products contain a sunscreen to help protect your hair from potentially damaging UV rays. KEVIN.MURPHY also does not use sulphate surfactants in any of their products, which is amazing! Sulphates can irritate the scalp, so this this line should be safe for anyone with skin sensitivities.

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Rinse

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Rinse

Young.Again Rinse ($35/250 mL) -
"Nourish and restore youthful lustre to dry, brittle or damaged hair. A complex of 20 Amino Acids, Bamboo and Lotus extracts strengthen, whilst Baobab and Mango seed oils smooth frizzy hair. Directions: Apply to freshly washed hair, leave for 1- 2 minutes then rinse" - KEVIN.MURPHY

This conditioner is pretty thick, and it can be hard to squeeze out of the bottle. I feel like this would have worked better in a tub or in a thinner plastic bottle. I gently make sure that my hair is free from any excess water, and then apply this conditioner to the bottom half of my hair. I go about my shower, and leave the conditioner on while I cleanse, exfoliate, etc. I then completely rinse my hair, and towel dry my hair as usual.

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Immortelle Infused Treatment Oil

Immortelle Infused Treatment Oil ($39/100 ml)

"Indulge yourself with intensely conditioned smooth, soft hair. Apply daily to infuse hair with shine and protection from heat and the environment. Directions: Apply to damp, freshly washed hair before styling." - KEVIN.MURPHY

I take one or two pumps of this oil and apply it to my hair from my ears down. This oil is fairly thin, and it has the same great scent as the rest of the line. This oil feels very lightweight, and it adds a nice shine to my hair.

KEVIN.MURPHY Young.Again Wash, Rinse, & Immortelle Infused Treatment Oil

KEVIN.MURPHY's Young.Again line gave my hair a shot of hydration, and my hair was left with a nice natural shine. However, I found my hair getting extremely tangled when using this line. My hair is wavy, but I normally don't have a huge issue with tangles. I also found that I had to wash my hair every day with this line, when I normally wash my hair every other day. My hair just got too oily too quickly for my liking!

So, while this line has its' benefits, I just didn't love it. And for the high price that you'll be paying, I definitely think that you should love it. I think that anyone with fine, thin hair would have better luck with this line. Right now I'm trying out KEVIN.MURPHY's Born.Again line, which I'm loving a lot more (review coming soon!). Have you tried KEVIN.MURPHY's Young.Again line, or any other products from the line? Which hair care line are you currently using?

  1. I've never tried any products from this brand. It sounds like this line is best suited for people with dry scalps maybe? I agree that for salon prices you really need to love a product to buy it.

  2. Great review! I've never tried this brand before, it's probably not for me as I have sometimes dry ends and shiny top. And I use what ever shampoo and conditioner my mum buys because I'm 14 haha :)

I'm looking forward to the other line review :)

  4. The packaging is really cool looking. I like the idea of sunscreen in hair products, but I would think it would make them oily faster, which I definitely don't need.

    1. Ooh maybe it's the sunscreen that's making my hair oily!? But I've tried other lines from them that also contain sunscreen, and I didn't have any issues with oil.
