Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer

I've been trying out and reviewing a few different makeup primers lately, but my absolute favourite has to be  Lancôme's La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer* ($47 CAD/25 ml). I've heard rave reviews on this product from several Youtubers, but you can never truly believe the hype until you try it out for yourself.

"This amazing oil-free makeup base creates a smooth, radiant, and long-lasting canvas for a polished look. Exclusive Lancôme Elasto-Smooth technology refines skin's texture and diffuses light to visibly reduce imperfections, creating a satin-soft finish. Makeup glides on seamlessly. Color stays more true and vibrant for an air-brushed look all day." - Sephora

Lancôme's La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer comes housed in a beautiful slightly frosted glass bottle. The plastic lid has the signature Lancôme rose on the top. When you're buying high-end, it's nice to see that the brand paid attention to details like these. The primer itself is a clear lightweight gel with no scent to it. I use a pump and a half, and apply this primer all over my face after moisturizing. You can use this on its' own, or before applying makeup.

This primer feels absolutely incredible on my skin - it's silky, hydrating, and sinks in quickly. I love how easily my foundation glides onto my skin after using this primer, it's really unlike anything else that I've ever tried. My makeup stays put all day long, I've found that it gives about an extra three hours of wear to any foundation. That can bring me to the 12 hour mark! This primer doesn't do much for my pores, so I do still use a pore filler on my nose.

I highly encourage you to go get a sample of this from Sephora or from a Lancôme counter and try it out for yourselves. I absolutely love how this feels on my skin, and how easily my makeup glides on. Have you tried this primer before? What's your favourite primer? :)
