Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Face Scrub

My skin seems to love a good exfoliation, so I was really excited to try out Montagne Jeunesse's Apricot Face Scrub* ($1.99/12 g). This formula is part mask, part scrub, which I find really fun. A nice change on the typical clay masques that I always use!

Montagne Jeunesse's Apricot Face Scrub comes in an individual, single use packet. This mask did contain less product than some of the other MJ masks that I've tried (12 g versus 15 g). As a result, there was just enough for a thin layer covering my face, and nothing left over. I do typically like to also use my face mask on my neck, so I was sad that I couldn't do that with this mask. As the name would suggest, this mask definitely smelt like apricots, a scent that I really enjoy. This formula was a thick creamy base with crushed apricot kernels to provide a physical exfoliation. If you've tried the St Ives Apricot Scrub, then this product will look (and smell) fairly familiar. I left this mask on for about 7 minutes, and then added some warm water to my face. You can then rub the product into the skin, which will give you a nice exfoliation. You might want to use a face cloth to ensure that you get all of the product completely off of your skin. I found that this mask left my skin looking radiant and feeling smooth. This mask didn't dry out my skin, but it might be a bit much for someone with dry or sensitive skin.

Overall, I did really enjoy this mask! I do think that you'll get similar results from using St Ives' Apricot Scrub, which would be more cost-effective. But, this was a fun mask, and it did leave my skin feeling and looking great. Have you tried a scrub-mask before?

  1. I may try to do a head-to-head against St Ives. I am convinced it is the same.

  4. I liked this one, although I'm not sure what the benefit is to using it as a mask instead of a straight scrub.

    1. I believe the instructions on the back of the pack say to apply, massage, relax and rinse. Gently massaging will help exfoliate, and relaxing for 5 minutes with it on will allow the ingredients to do their thing.

  6. I'm sure I've used the St Ives scrub before, I feel like it's somewhat a staple product that everyone has tried at least once. But it's been so long that I don't remember what it feels like.
Anywho, I really enjoyed this mask.
    Love the selfies! :-)
