"Get a gorgeous rush of color with this ultra-luxurious, long-wearing blush packaged in an innovative swivel mirror compact for touch ups on-the-go." - Sephora
Smashbox's Blush Rush comes packaged in a cute circular black rubberized compact. The bottom swivels out to reveal a mirror for easy on the go application or touch-ups. The lid is clear, so you can easily find the right colour in the morning. This was my first experience with this formula from Smashbox, and I'm very impressed! This powder blush has a nice consistency - it isn't that creamy, but it's not super hard either. The texture feels somewhere in-between a NARS blush and Clinique's Cheek Pops.
Radiance really does give a nice radiant glow to my cheeks. This pink shade can easily be worn sheer, or built up to a more intense colour. I've been using Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply Radiance, as the fluffy bristles let me control the amount of pigmentation that I get. I know that this blush looks a bit bright and scary in the pan, but trust me, it can be sheered out. There isn't any shimmer in this formula, but you do get a nice healthy glow from this shade.
I'm really impressed with the wear time of Smashbox's Blush Rush - I can get about 9 hours out of Radiance! The colour then starts to slowly fade over the next few hours. Do keep in mind that I don't have oily skin. I love how Radiance brings a nice healthy flush to my skin - I find that pink blushes create that natural flush on my skin better than red blushes.
I never really hear anyone talk about these blushes from Smashbox, but I definitely think that they're worth swatching the next time you're in Sephora/Shoppers/Murale. If you've tried this formula before, I would love to know what your favourite shade is! I now have my eyes on Passion (golden peach) and Flush (petal pink). Are you also loving bright blushes this Spring?
So much more natural than I thought haha, looks gorgoues!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know, it looks crazy bright in the pan!
DeleteSmashbox blushes are very underrated - the pigmentation and lasting power like you said are great! I'm becoming a big fan of bright pink blushes as well; they're much more girly and natural than darker tones.
ReplyDeleteYa I don't know why they're aren't talked about more often! I'm loving the formula of this one :)
DeleteLike I need more blushes.... (I do!!!!). This one looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many blushes!!
