YSL Rouge Volupté #32 Corail Jalouse

Oh YSL, your packaging gets me every time! Seriously, if you haven't seen one of YSL's Rouge Voluptés in person before, you're really missing out - they're like a work of art! Well, I've been playing with YSL Rouge Volupté in one of their new Spring shades, #32 Corail Jalouse* ($39 CDN), and what can I say, I'm in love.

"An object of desire, this award-winning lipstick is wrapped in a romantic, elegant gold case that exudes luxury. Each signature shade saturates lips in captivating color that’s intensely pigmented, and imparts an irresistible glossy shine. The long-lasting, comforting formula is highlighted with a unique Color-shine Complex that leaves lips visibly smoother, plumper and more radiant. Light, silky texture smoothes on a veil of satiny, sensual color that’s altogether alluring." - YSL

See what I mean about the packaging? Gorgeous! The gold packaging is simply stunning, and I love that the colour of the lipstick is shown in the middle. #32 Corail Jalouse is a beautiful pink with slight coral tones. This is the shade of lip colour that I feel most comfortable in - something light, pink, and opaque! This formula is super creamy, opaque, and hydrating. If you've never tried a YSL lip stick before it's hard to compare them to anything else. YSL really knows how to make a perfect lipstick! These lipsticks do have a fruity scent to them that I neither love or hate. The scent doesn't linger once applied to my lips, which makes me happy.

This formula hydrates my lips for about 4 hours, and the colour sticks around for 5 hours before fading. The colour will transfer when eating/drinking (or kissing), but I don't have issues with it wandering onto my teeth or outside of my lips. Since this colour is a bit brighter, I do prefer to use a mirror to apply, but I've also reapplied throughout the day without a mirror. Since this formula is so creamy I didn't have any issues with it clinging to dry patches or settling into fine lines. This shade has a really shiny finish, so you can definitely skip the gloss!

What more can I say? I've been absolutely loving this lipstick - the formula is on point, the shade is right up my alley, and the packaging is simply gorgeous. While this is a pricey item, I do think that it's worth it, especially if you're wanting to treat yourself. Have you tried a YSL lipstick before? Do you love them as much as I do? :)
