Lush's Recycling Program

Lush has an amazing recycling program that I don't think a lot of people know about! I've taken advantage of this program a few times, so I thought I'd run down how it works.

Lush's Recycling Program

"To encourage recycling, our shops offer a free Fresh Face Mask to those who bring back five clean, empty black LUSH pots. So save those Shower Smoothie containers and bring them in for a fresh treat! To encourage recycling, our shops offer a free Fresh Face Mask to those who bring back five clean, empty black LUSH pots."

Lush's Recycling Program

So basically, Lush sells a lot of their products in this black plastic pots. When you're done with the product, simply wash out the pot, and hold on to it. When you've accumulated 5 of these pots, bring them in to any Lush store, and pick out your favourite fresh face mask! I love Catastrophe Cosmetic and Love Lettuce, but pick one based on your individual skin type. Just bring the face mask to the register, and tell the Lush employee that you'd like to trade in 5 pots for the mask! Easy as that! Every time I've done this, there haven't been any issues with the trade, and the employees are always well aware of the recycling program. You don't have to pay anything, just enjoy your new mask! And yes, you can then use the black pot that the free mask came in towards your next trade!

Lush's Recycling Program

I always love when companies offer this type of program - it helps the Earth, and it makes me want to buy from the company a lot more! Have you ever traded in pots at Lush for a free face mask? What is your favourite recycling program?
