Mary Kay's Journey of Dreams comes packaged in a beautiful watercolour box decorated with little butterflies. The bottle itself is a fairly simple design - a clear glass bottle with a green and frosted plastic lid. I do wish that the beautiful design from the box was also included on the bottle. I do find the bottle a bit boring, especially when there are so many gorgeous perfume bottles on the market.
This new fragrance from Mary Kay is quite strong upon initial application, but after a few moments it really settles down. Plush Peony and Blooming Turkish Rose create a floral base, while Rose Lychee Water adds a softer, crisp element, and Sparkling Clementine rounds out the fragrance. I would say that this is primarily a floral scent. Since this is an EDT (and not an EDP), the lasting power isn't great - I feel like I need to reapply after only 2-3 hours. This bottle is quite small, and would fit into a medium sized purse for easy application throughout the day. However, I would prefer my perfume to last a bit longer.
I do quite like this scent, but the bottle design and lasting power didn't wow me. I do appreciate the charitable side of this fragrance (more info below!), and this scent is very reasonably price, so you can afford to reapply throughout the day! Do you care about a perfumes' packaging, or just about the scent alone?
"From May 16th - August 15th, 2014, $2.50 from each Journey of Dreams™ purchase will be donated to The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation to support women living with cancer through the Look Good Feel Better® program and to help end violence against women by providing grants to women’s shelters and community outreach programs."
The pqckaging of the box is so pretty!! I also wish they carried that over to the bottle.
