Schwarzkopf Professional BC HAIRTHERAPY Smooth Perfect Treatment

I absolutely love trying out different hair masks, it's probably my favourite hair product to try out. It seems like every brand makes at least one hair mask, and I'm on a mission to find the very best one for my hair type. Schwarzkopf Professional has recently relaunched their BC HAIRTHERAPY line, and I've been trying out their new Smooth Perfect Treatment* ($24.20 CAD/200ml). The Smooth Perfect line contains amino smoothener for unruly, coarse hair - sounds promising!

"Never before has professional care brought hair so close to natural perfection! With the relaunch of BC HAIRTHERAPY featuring new Cell Perfector technology, Schwarzkopf Professional brings you the potential for hair that looks perfectly conditioned, healthy and beautiful. Six innovative hair care lines, with specific formulas and ingredients selected for the care needs of different hair types, closes the gap to natural perfection – 100% virgin quality hair, 100% elasticity and 100% healthy looking surface."

Schwarzkopf Professional BC HAIRTHERAPY Smooth Perfect Treatment

Schwarzkopf Professional's BC HAIRTHERAPY Smooth Perfect Treatment comes packaged in a white and purple plastic tub with a screw off lid. This packaging is nice since you'll be able to get all of the product out - yay for no wasted product! But, you need to be careful to avoid getting water in the tub while showering. This hair mask is extremely thick, maybe the thickest hair mask that I've ever used! I enjoy the typical salon scent that this mask has.

After shampooing, I take a scoop of this thick cream, and apply it to the bottom half of my hair (from the ears down). Since this hair mask is so thick, it can be a bit tricky to apply evenly to your damp hair. Schwarzkopf recommends leaving this in your hair for 5-10 minutes, and I just leave it on for the duration of my shower, which is normally about 5 minutes. I'll then rinse thoroughly, and towel dry my hair.

I find that Schwarzkopf Professional's BC HAIRTHERAPY Smooth Perfect Treatment help to give my hair a boost of hydration and shine while also reducing frizz. I do find that my wavy/curly hair feels a bit weighed down and tangly when I use this hair mask. Since this product is geared towards unruly hair types, I was expected it to help keep my hair tangle free throughout the day. Other than that, I do really like what this hair mask does for my locks. If you have issues with frizz like I do, then you might want to give this line a try.

This product didn't end my search for the perfect hair mask, but I still do enjoy using it. I love how thick and hydrating this formula is, but I also would have appreciated some anti-tangle properties. Have you tried any of Schwarzkopf Professional's BC HAIRTHERAPY lines? I have a few products from some of the other lines, so keep your eyes out for those reviews! What's your current favourite hair mask?

    1. It's very thick! It's still quite good, but it doesn't fix all of my hair woes!
