The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel

I have to admit, I was a bit worried about my skin freaking out on the 13 hour flight to Beijing. So, I packed The Body Shop's Aloe Soothing Gel* ($18/1 oz) in my carry on bag (in the 1L plastic bag, of course), and hoped that it would calm my skin during the flight.

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel

The Body Shop's Aloe Soothing Gel comes in a clear plastic tube with a pump applicator. The gel itself is fairly thick, and clear in colour, with no discernible scent. Mid-flight, I added a pump or two of this moisturizer to my face, and passed the tube over to my boyfriend, who did the same. As you would expect from an aloe product, this gel is very soothing, calming, and hydrating. The product sinks in fairly quickly, and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I used this moisturizer day and night while in China, and my skin didn't go bananas! Travelling can make my skin go a bit crazy, and I'm really pleased with this moisturizer, it really did help to check my skin in check.

If you have sensitive skin, I definitely think that this moisturizer is worth checking out. You can use this on your entire face like I did, or just use it on targeted areas that need an extra boost of hydration or comfort. The Body Shop is constantly running deals, and right now this product is on sale for only $9 (50% off skin care!). What products do you take with you during long-haul flights? Have you tried any products from The Body Shop's Aloe range before?

  1. I love this line! I recently had to change up my skin care routine after using this for a year after I started to feel my skin was getting too used to these products and I wasn't getting the results that I used to, but I'm hoping I can go back to it in a few months.

    1. It's funny how skin gets used to products over time! Hopefully a few months off of it will do the trick :)
