Lise Watier 24 HRS Gel Liner

I'm still quite new to the world of gel liners, but I'm always happy to try out new formulas! I'm more of a liquid liner gal, although I've always been intrigued by the world of potted liners. Lise Watier has recently launched a new limited edition gel liner as a part of their Eden Tropical Collection. So, I put Lise Watier's 24 HRS Gel Liner* ($25 CAD) to the test, to see how well it works, even for a gel liner newbie!

"Known for its fabulous liners, Lise Watier launches a new gel liner!

- Gliding formula
- Extra black pigment
- Easy to apply

To be worn alone or with a smoky eye." - Lise Watier

Lise Watier's 24 HRS Gel Liner comes packaged in a super tiny little glass pot with a black plastic lid. I was really surprised by how thick this formula was. When I think of a gel liner, I think of something that's lightweight, but this formula definitely doesn't fit that bill. I found it fairly hard to get a smooth, even line with this liner, no matter what brush I used. The product is just so thick, and it gets a bit chunky once it's on your brush. The product is jet black, there's no question of that. Once applied, this formula does set very quickly, and it does last all day without flaking off. I didn't put the formula to the 24 hour, just because I don't ever sleep in my makeup, and I can't stay up for 24 hours!

If you're a gel eyeliner pro, then maybe you'll be able to work with this formula better than myself. However, I do think that for the price, this liner should be more lightweight and user friendly. Are you a gel liner fan?

  2. i've gotten pretty use to using pencils before moving onto gel liners. MAC"s blacktrack is my fav. sounds like this wasn't too easy so would probably pass. besides i have so much of blacktrack left.

  4. That's too bad this one is so thick and hard to work with. I'm the opposite haha I'm trying to use liquid liner more because I've been using gel for the last little while. I really like the Maybelline gel liner, you can't beat the price and the formulation is perfect!
