I really love the packaging of L'Oreal's Extraordinaire by Colour Riche. The gold tubes are very shiny, and they will pick up finger print marks quite easily. The labels on the bottom of the tubes are colour-coded to the product inside - a small detail that I absolutely love. The applicator is a flattened doe foot than hugs my lips nicely and applies an even amount of colour. There's a fruity scent to this formula that I really like, but I know that it won't be to everyone's liking.
Pink Tremolo is a beautiful bright barbie pink. I absolutely love shades like this one, they're just so fun! This color is quite pigmented, even with just one swipe.
Purple Prelude is a muted purple/mauve that I find quite easy to pull off. Again, you get nice rich colour payoff from this shade.
Coral Encore is a summery coral with golden shimmer. Another pigmented shade, what you see on my lips is one layer of colour.
The formula of L'Oreal's Extraordinaire by Colour Riche is fairly thick, creamy, and very comfortable to wear. There are micro oils in the formula, which work to nourish and hydrate your lips. This formula isn't sticky at all. I can get about 5 hours of wear from this formula, but all three shades also leave behind a beautiful stain. So, even after the gloss wears off, my lips are left with a nice, even stain for an additional few hours.
L-R: Pink Tremolo, Purple Prelude & Coral Encore, one swipe of each
I'm absolutely in love with this formula! I'll be doing a post comparing all of the lip gloss-stain hybrids that I've tried so far, so keep an eye out for that. But for now I'll say that these are definitely a front runner, and they can compete with the high-end formulas that I've tried (YSL, MUFE, Lancome). Have you tried out L'Oreal's Extraordinaire by Colour Riche yet? There are a ton of gorgeous shades in this line, and now I'm wanting to try out Rouge Allegro & Fuchsia Orchestra.
I wonder how these compare to the Maybeline Color Elixirs. They seems to be a similar formula. Very pretty, Pink Tremolo is my fav :)
ReplyDeleteThe two formulas are quite similar, but I find the L'oreal formula to be more pigmented and creamy!
