My Favourite Summer Blushes

I don't purposefully switch out my blushes every season, but I do tend to gravitate towards certain shades depending on the weather. For Summer, I like bright, fun colours, and a variety of formulas - cream, powder, gel. I thought that it would be fun to share my favourite summer blushes with you today, since you all know how much I love blush! Let's dive right in...

My Favourite Summer Blushes

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric #1 Translucent Strawberry* - This formula is unlike anything that I've tried before, this blush has a watery, jelly-like formula. As the shade name (Translucent Strawberry) suggests, this shade does swatch fairly sheer. You can build up the colour a bit with two or three layers. I like to use my fingers to apply this blush, and it blends into my skin like a dream! This blush is almost fool proof - it takes seconds to apply & I always love the results!

Cargo Swimmables Blush in Ibiza* - This blush is great for Summer because it's waterproof! I'm going to the cottage this weekend, and I'll definitely be bringing this blush & putting these claims to the test. Ibiza is a beautiful shimmery pink that brings a nice glow to your cheeks.

My Favourite Summer Blushes

Revlon Cream Blush in Flushed* - Flushed is a beautiful bright pink blush with a smooth, velvety formula. I absolutely love the creamy texture of Revlon's Cream Blushes, it's one of the best formulas that I've tried! I like to use my Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply this blush, as it gives a beautiful, flawless finish.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Blush #515* - I've been reaching for this blush a lot lately! It may look really bright in the pan, but it swatches beautifully, and it looks even better with a tan. This formula is cream to powder, and it blends very easily, so you could use your fingers to apply it in a pinch.

My Favourite Summer Blushes

NARS Luster - This blush looks stunning when I have a bit of a tan! It's also pretty natural looking, so it's the perfect option for someone that doesn't like bright colours.

Stila Convertible Color in Gladiola - I love cream blushes in the Summer, because they melt into your skin and look super natural. Stila's formula is super long-wearing, and Gladiola is a beautiful peach shade perfect for this time of year.

My Favourite Summer Blushes

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy - This orange colour swatches quite lightly, but when worn on the cheeks it looks a bit brighter. Tarte's Amazonian Clay formula is very long-wearing, so it won't melt off in the Summer heat.

Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop* - First of all, this packaging is just too cute! Inside the adorable packaging is a pretty light peachy orange shade. This shade is fairly sheer, but it can be built up to a good amount of colour. I think that these Cheek Pops are perfect for anyone that's new to blush, or who just enjoys a light cheek.

My Favourite Summer Blushes Swatches

Of course, you don't need all of these blushes, but blush is my weakness. Hopefully there's something here to suit everyone's preferences, or I've inspired you to step out of your comfort zone.

What's your favourite blush for Summer?

  3. So many bright shades!!
I feel like I always wear the same blush, it's Down Boy from TheBalm, I think it's just so easy to pull off, some of the brighter shades require a lighter hand and when I'm in a hurry I just want some thing I can pad on my face without having to be careful hehe

  6. HUBBA BUBBA MUFE 515! ...now that I think about it, I don't think I actually have any orange blushes! I should definitely change that, since it's summer and MUFE's 515 is DEFINITELY calling my name!
