“Bright nail polish colours are in this summer!” exclaims Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Co-Founder & Executive VP. “With warm weather comes beautiful, bold hues. Summer is the perfect time to experiment with fun colours!” - Nicole by OPI
"This citrusy green is the limiest… and that’s the truth."
This polish had a fairly thin formula, and I did need to use 3 coats for an opaque finish. I did get a but of pooling at my cuticles, and some streakiness. This chartreuse shade is quite pale and verging on pastel-status. This isn't my favourite shade from the collection, and the formula wasn't amazing either.
This playful pink makes me jump and shout!
This polish is a mid-toned pink-salmon shade. I used two coats for an opaque finish, but I did still have minor streaking. A third coat might be able to make this shade streak-free.
Glittering and frosty… this is one sweet treat.
I decided to use one coat of Shaved Nice over top of LeaPink for Joy, and I really like this combination! Shaved Nice consists of mainly silver glitter in a clear base, but you also have green, orange, blue, and pink glitter pieces in there as well. I didn't have to fish around for the glitter pieces, and one coat gave a nice amount of sparkle to my nails. This glitter polish would look lovely layered over any of the polishes in this collection.
I’ve learned my lesson… nothing but this bright coral for me!
This is my favourite shade from this collection - a beautiful shiny coral. I almost stopped at only one coat since this polish is so pigmented, but I think that a second coat was a good choice. Even without a top coat, this polish has a super shiny finish. I think that this shade will be a perfect summer mani or pedi shade.
If you were to get only one polish from Nicole by OPI's Seize the Summer Collection, I would recommend The Coral of the Story, as the colour is beautiful and the formula is on point. If you weren't already in the Summer mood, I'm sure you are now after seeing these swatches! This collection is limited edition, so pick up your favourite shades now. What is your go-to Summer polish?
