Stila Color Balm Lipstick in Elle

When I first tried out Stila's Color Balm Lipstick in Sonya, I fell in love. Fast forward a few months, and I've finally tried out another shade from the line: Elle* ($25 CAD/3.5g). I'm still loving this formula, and this shade just screams Summer!

"A modern take on traditional lipstick, this creamy lip color provides the full pigment load of a lipstick, yet delivers the shine of a gloss." - Murale

Stila's Color Balm Lipsticks come packaged in shiny mirrored tubes, with the colour-coded word Stila running down the tube. The lid pops off, and the lipstick twists up. This formula has a nice vanilla-mint scent to it, but it isn't too strong. The shade Elle will definitely get you noticed as it's a beautiful borderline-neon pink. Elle is almost a Barbie pink, but I still found it to be quite wearable. I absolutely love pink lipsticks, so this one was right up my alley.

Stila's Color Balm Lipstick formula is very soft, creamy, and incredibly pigmented. You only need one swipe of this colour to get full on pigmentation. I do find that the tip of this lipstick can be a bit too large since this is such a pigmented formula. You can use the edge of the lipstick to get a more precise line, but this is a shade that I would recommend using a mirror to apply. This formula is creamy and hydrating, and I can get about 4 hours of moisture from this lipstick. The colour itself lasts for about 6 hours, and then starts to fade evenly. I haven't had any issues with this colour feathering, settling into fine lines, clinging to dry patches, or straying from my lips or onto my teeth.

I definitely recommend checking out Stila's Color Balm Lipstick range! Elle is a gorgeous bright pink that I think is perfect for Summer. Now I have my eyes on the shades Ali, Gemma, and Valentina. Have you checked out Stila's Color Balm Lipstick range before? Would you wear a shade this bright?

  1. gorgeous color!!! I've been eyeing that particular lipstick for a while.. I always ignored the line because with the word 'balm' I assumed they were just another lip butter!

    1. Thanks! The balm part is slightly misleading, but the shades still give full pigmentation and good hydration! Definitely different than the lip butters :)

  4. I had a couple shades of these but ended up gifting them to friends because I have way too many lip products. This shade looks very pretty, so delicate and girly!
