With so many perfumes on the market, most of them get lost in the shuffle. Thierry Mugler's Angel* ($96/.8 oz or $134/1.7 oz) has been able to stand out among all of the perfume options, and it's one of the most popular fragrances available. Seriously, you must have heard about Angel by now, no?
"Angel, which launched a new fragrance category called the "oriental gourmands," seduces us with angelic flavors found deep within the heart of our memories, as well as sensual and passionate notes.
Notes: Bergamot, Hedione, Helional, Honey, Dewberry, Red Berries, Vanilla, Caramel, Patchouli, Chocolate, Coumarin.
Style: Pure. Soft. Innocent." - Sephora
Thierry Mugler's Angel has ridiculously adorable packaging - a five pointed star filled with blue perfume and a silver top. There is no removeable cap, you just push down a button on the silver point, and perfume is released. What's also neat about this packaging is that it's refillable! Yes, you can bring it to certain stores (I've seen a refill station at my local Murale), and get your bottle refilled for a reduced cost. You won't have to purchase another bottle, which is both affordable and environmentally friendly.
Thierry Mugler's Angel is a very classy scent, and I think that it would appeal to most women. I'm not sure that I would have appreciated this scent in my teens, but this is honestly a scent that I can see myself loving for the rest of my life. With notes like honey, caramel, chocolate, and vanilla, how could I go wrong? I would describe this scent as being sweet, but the patchouli and bergamot notes bring a sophisticated feel to this perfume. This is a scent that I would wear year round, but I do think that I will love it even more in the Fall and Winter months - it's just so comforting! I only need to use one spritz of this perfume, which means that this bottle should last me quite a while. The staying power is also excellent - I get about 9 hours of wear from Angel!
Now I understand the hype with Angel! If you haven't given Angel a sniff yet, I highly recommend doing so.
What's your current go-to fragrance?
I caved and bought a bottle a few months ago and am so happy I did! The fragrance is so up my alley (love sweet, spicy scents) and the bottle is beautiful! Glad you're liking it too :)

ReplyDeleteYa the packaging is genius!
DeleteSounds like an awesome scent! The bottle is super cute too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving it! :)
DeleteI have seen the refillable machine thing in the store, its pretty neat!
ReplyDeleteYa, it's really cool! I wish more perfumes had this feature :)
DeleteSo before I started wearing TBS Satsuma (late high school) I was all about Angel. I find it has a floral cocoa scent? I can't wear it anymore due to headaches but damn it brings back memories!
ReplyDeleteSatsuma and Angel are so different! But I also love both scents :)
DeleteI love Angel and Alien, but I haven't made the leap yet of buying it only because it is so popular- I think I will eventually, because every time I smell it on someone, I would always think "mmm that smells amazing!" lol I actually bought angel eau sucree because I really love my sweet scents- I love it but it smells nothing like Angel
ReplyDeleteI totally get that - you don't want to smell like everyone else! But I also find that fragrances can smell quite different on different people, so it's definitely worth checking out :)
DeleteI love Angel perfume, it's been a favourite of mine since a young age when my mom first started to wear it.
ReplyDeleteSadly my bottle is coming to an end, but as it's a refillable bottle I'm going to get it filled up asap! :D
