Balenciaga stole my heart with Balenciaga Paris, but that is more of a Fall/Winter scent, so I wanted to try something else from the brand. Balenciaga recently released their Rosabotanica EDP* ($100 CAD/1.7 oz), which Kristen Stewart is promoting. While I'm not a huge fan of Stewart, I am a fan of Rosabotanica!
"Rosabotanica is the latest addition to the botanical garden that is beautiful but dangerous. This fragrance is based on a contemporary green rose accord mixed with milky fig leaves. The heart of Rosabotanica comes from the experimental rose that is lightened by citrus notes and white woods.Notes: Experimental Rose, Fig Leaf, White Amber.
Style: Spicy. Beautiful. Dangerous." - Sephora
Gah! This bottle is just too pretty! Rosabotanica is housed in a square glass bottle, with colourful flowers painted on the front of the bottle. The cap is painted in white & black stripes, and I just love everything about it. Rosabotanica has is a very floral scent, but the white amber notes add a spicy side to this fragrance. Fig Leaf notes work to lighten up this fragrance a bit. I'm really loving the mix of floral & spicy yet still totally Summer appropriate notes. I think that Rosabotanica works really well on my skin, and this fragrance develops and transforms beautifully over the course of the day. I spritz this once onto my neck and once onto my wrists, and that lasts me a full 8 hours before the scent starts to fade. This scent is also available in a rollerball, so you can easily touch up throughout the day with that.
