KEVIN.MURPHY Born.Again Line

I've been testing out KEVIN.MURPHY's Born.Again Line for the past few months, and I'm finally getting around to sharing this line with you! This range from KEVIN.MURPHY is targeted towards anyone with extremely dry or damaged hair. I have dry and damaged hair, but I wouldn't say that it's in extreme condition. I would recommend this line to anyone that's colouring/bleaching their hair, as it's so gentle and hydrating!

KEVIN.MURPHY Born.Again Line

Born.Again.Wash* ($35 CAD/250 mL) - "An ultra rich moisturising shampoo for extremely tortured and chemically dehydrated hair. Includes a fusion of technology and aromatherapy, a blend of micro particles, which are a complex of tiny amino acids, proteins and lipids, in combination with natural essential oils." - KEVIN.MURPHY

This shampoo has a medium consistency - not too thin & not too thick. I'm able to get a nice rich lather from this shampoo, and it's a very hydrating formula. This entire line has a nice light floral scent to it, which lingers lightly in my hair for a full day after washing. Don't worry - the scent isn't too strong or overpowering!

KEVIN.MURPHY Born.Again Line

Born.Again Essential Treatment* ($35 CAD/250 mL) -

"BORN.AGAIN is the centerpiece and core treatment in the KEVIN.MURPHY range. It is such a unique product that contains ingredients that are so small in their molecular size and weight; they can pass into the cortex of the hair instantly. Essential oils are the force that brings KEVIN.MURPHY products to life. They are heat and light sensitive; Once you open them to the air and light they become energized: moisturising, repairing, and regenerating.

How to use: Apply throughout freshly washed hair and scalp, leave for 2 to 20 minutes then rinse." - KEVIN.MURPHY

This is the conditioner in the line, and it's a bit thicker than the shampoo. If you have very, very dry hair, then I would recommend applying this all over your hair, including your scalp. That was a bit too rich & heavy for my hair, so I just apply it to the bottom half of my locks. I leave this on my hair for about 5 minutes, and then rinse it out.

KEVIN.MURPHY Born.Again Line

Born.Again.Masque* ($39 CAD/200 mL) -

"This ultra rich masque is a blend of pure botanicals and the latest research in science. It features a combination of some of the highest quality ingredients that are designed to deeply penetrate into the depth of the hair shaft, providing it with nutrition, nourishment and fortifying molecules.

How to use: Apply to freshly washed hair and massage into hair and scalp for 5 – 10 mins." - KEVIN.MURPHY

This is a very thick & creamy masque! Once again,  If you have very, very dry hair, then I would recommend applying this all over your hair, including your scalp. That was a bit too rich & heavy for my hair, so I just apply it to the bottom half of my locks. I leave this on my hair for about 10 minutes, and then rinse it out. I use this masque about once a week, but you can use it more or less often depending on the condition of your hair. I wouldn't recommend this masque to anyone with very thin or oily hair, as it's just going to be too heavy and hydrating.

If you have damaged your hair through bleaching, excessive use of heat tools, etc., then I think that your hair would really benefit from KEVIN.MURPHY's Born.Again Line. This line won't be great for everyone (those with thin or oily hair should definitely stay away), but it can work miracles for those with dry, brittle, and damaged locks. I feel like this is a line I'll love even more in the dry Winter months!

  4. The packaging is so weird and cool at the same time, reminds me of mini versions of those giant detergent jugs with the spout on the side
