Lush Celestial Facial Moisturizer

I recently finished off my tub of Lush's Imperialis, which I really, really liked. I thought that I'd try out a different moisturizer from Lush, and Celestial* ($24.95.45g) peaked my interest. Lush's facial moisturizers come packaged in their classic little black pots, which you can actually recycle in stores (5 black pots = 1 free fresh face mask!).

"Redness. Stinging. Irritation. Sound familiar? Having sensitive skin can be incredibly frustrating (even painful!), which is why we invented our most gentle moisturizer, Celestial. With its creamy cocoa butter base, Celestial effectively moisturizes without irritating ingredients like citrus oils or alcohol. We blend vanilla water, to help the skin retain its moisture, with hydrating almond milk and fresh dove orchid extract to keep delicate skin in soft, glowing condition. Celestial also doubles as a fantastically softening night cream for all skin types." - Lush

Lush's Celestial Facial Moisturizer smells amazing - very calming, soft, and subtle. This moisturizer smells like something that I'd want to drink, but I'll control myself. Vanilla water is the first ingredient, which definitely explains why I think that this smells so yummy. This formula also contains orchids steeped in almond milk, how luxurious! This white cream has a medium consistency, but sinks into my skin surprisingly quickly. I've been using this as my morning moisturizer, and I love how smooth and soft this leaves my skin feeling! I definitely think that anyone with sensitive skin would enjoy this formula, as it's very calming, hydrating, and soothing. Celestial would also be great as a night cream, but I've been loving facial oils at night.

Overall, I highly recommend Lush's Celestial to anyone with dry, sensitive, or irritated skin. This formula is so nourishing, hydrating, and calming, it's really quite amazing! Great job, Lush! Have you tried any of Lush's facial moisturizers? Which formula is your favourite?

  4. I LOVED this moisturizer even though it wasn't quite moisturizing enough for my face. I'm debating on trying Skin Drink next but there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews on it(people either love it, or hate how greasy it is).

    1. I haven't looked into Skin Drink, but Lush is really great at making little samples in store so you can try it out before buying! :)

  5. I love Lush products, but have never found a moisturizer of theirs that gets on too well with my skin. This one does sound lovely- I may have to sample it when the weather gets a bit colder, as my skin gets more dry and irritated in Winter. Thanks for the review :)
