MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Matic #S-60 Satiny Warm Brown

MAKE UP FOR EVER has launched their new Aqua Matic range, which includes 10 amazing colours. I've been trying out shade #S-60 Satiny Warm Brown* ($25 CAD/0.049 oz), which can be worn as a cream shadow or a liner.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Matic #S-60 Satiny Warm Brown Review

"This eye shadow pencil glides on and stays put. The unbelievably blendable texture includes silica, so it applies effortlessly onto the eyelid and won’t transfer. This highly-pigmented, waterproof, smudge-free shadow delivers immediate, intense color payoff. A retractable twist-up mechanism allows for quick and mistake-free application, and a sharpener makes it convenient to take this product to go for touchups." - Sephora

MAKE UP FOR EVER's new Aqua Matics are packaged in retractable tubes - no sharpening required! The tip is pointed, but since the product is so creamy, the point disappears very quickly. There is a tiny sharpener on the end of the pencil, but to be honest those little sharpeners make no sense to me. I would typically only wear the shade #S-60 Satiny Warm Brown as a liner, which is what I've done in the photos below. Of course, if I wanted a more intense eye, I could use this as a cream shadow or a base. The tip isn't fine enough to get a skinny line, so you will end up with a thicker line. I like using this on the lower lash line, because it stays put throughout the day. This is a long-wearing, waterproof formula, which MUFE is known for. However, if I rub slightly at my eyes (I have allergies, so this will happen throughout the day), the colour will smudge. You have about 30-40 seconds to blend out the colour before it sets for the day.

I've heard that MUFE is replacing their Aqua Shadows with these new Aqua Matics, which makes me sad! I use an Aqua Shadow almost daily, so I'll be sad to see them go if this rumour is true. I do have the dark brown shade in the Aqua Shadow formula, so if you'd like to see a comparison between the two formulas, please let me know in a comment! Have you tried any of MUFE's new Aqua Matics? I'd love to try out a fun, bright shade - #I-20 Iridescent Turquoise looks incredible!
