Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara

I've been trying out Revlon's new Bold Lacquer Mascara* for the past few weeks, so it's about time that I shared my thoughts on it with you. I tend to have good results with Revlon's mascaras - I really liked their Lash Potion Mascara! Read on to see how I got on with Revlon's newest mascara offering...

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara

"- Formula’s lacquer film technology and intense colour pigments deliver a lustrous, deep colour to lashes.

- The Lash Stretch brush pulls the formula’s high-shine, lengthening fibers from root to tip and beyond." - Revlon

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara Wand

Just like Revlon's Lash Potion, their Bold Lacquer Mascara has super pretty packaging. The tube is long and fairly thin, but the brush is quite large. I do find that the stopper doesn't remove enough of the mascara from the wand on the way out of the tube - the mascara can tend to clump up on the bristles at the bottom of the wand. The bristles are short and evenly spaced out, and they do grip on to every lash easily. My lashes don't require a ton of work from a mascara, I just want a bit of extra volume and drama. Unfortunately, I find that Revlon's Bold Lacquer Mascara can tend to clump a little bit on my lashes, and it doesn't do anything spectacular to them. On a more positive note, this mascara stays on my lashes all day long without flaking or fading. This formula isn't waterproof, and it removes easily with a gentle cleanser at the end of the day. I've been using the shade Blackest Black, which gives a rich, pigmented black glossy colour to my lashes.

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara on Lashes

I just wasn't wowed by Revlon's Bold Lacquer Mascara, it didn't really do anything spectacular to my lashes. I would definitely recommend trying out Revlon's Lash Potion, as it gave a lot more length and volume to my lashes. Have you tried out Revlon's Bold Lacquer Mascara? I would love to hear about how it worked for your lashes!

  1. I like this mascara, it adds a bit of length and volume for me. The little fibres that come out of the bottle are weird though and this isn't as good at my go to Benefit mascara. Just ok, not amazing.

  2. Thank you for the review! I wonder if it would work well layered on top of another mascara? On a side note, I do love that gold eyeliner on your lower lid, what product is it?

It's actually the shade Summerfly from the Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette! :)
