Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Honey

I'm already a huge fan of Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 line, so I was super excited to be able to try out a few more shades! First up is that shade Honey* ($26 CAD/0.15 oz), which is a nude-pink. These lip balms are super creamy, hydrating, and offer a hint of colour and SPF 15.

"Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 blends reparative oils and waxes with real sugar, a natural humectant, for delectable and dependable moisture. Sweet and tart black currant oil, rich in plumping essential fatty acids, cushions the lips while antioxidant grapeseed polyphenols and vitamins A, C, and E provide protection from wrinkle-causing free radicals. It provides essential, year-round protection from damaging UV rays." - Sephora

Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatments come packaged beautifully in metal tubes that twist up. The tubes are colour-coded to match the shade of the lip balm, making it easy to find the right shade in a hurry. These balms have a citrus scent that I really like, but you might want to give it a sniff before purchasing to make sure that you like it too.

The shade Honey is a nude pink with warm undertones. This colour is quite sheer, as it's just a tinted lip balm, not a true lipstick. This shade is super easy to pull off - it's a my lips but better type shade! I can see myself reaching for Honey quite regularly, since it will go with almost any makeup look. Honey does leave my lips with a very shiny finish, which I love. This formula contains SPF 15, so it's perfect for year-round wear! This balm feels very thick and creamy, and it hydrates my lips for about 4 hours before I need to reapply. Since this balm is so creamy, it does have a tendency to get soft when it's hot out. This isn't something that I would feel comfortable leaving in the car on a hot day, as it might melt.

Overall, these lip balms from Fresh are such a pampering product. They are very expensive at $26 a pop, but you get what you pay for. I think that these would make a great gift, and there are 10 different shades to choose from! I have a few more shades to share with you, so check back for those reviews! :) Have you tried any of Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatments? Which shade is your favourite?

  3. I love these, but for the price they shouldn't melt! I could understand some melting if you kept them in your purse in the middle of summer, but I had one melt in my purse in the dead of winter. I wish they could figure out a way to keep them from melting while keeping the formula because they really are amazing.

    1. Oh no! I haven't had any major issues with this balm melting, I've just had it get a bit soft in the hot Summer heat. But I agree, that's definitely not something you'd want happening to such an expensive product!

  8. Ah, this gives such a pretty colour to the lips! I've tried mini versions of these in the past and found them quite nice, though I'm daunted by the price tag!
