I love masking, and I've been using Lush's fresh face masks for years & years. I had a few empty black pots to trade in at Lush, so I thought that it was the perfect time to try out a new face mask from them! Lush's BB Seaweed ($6.95/60g) was recommended to be from the sales associate, and I'm so glad that I decided to give it a go!
"Created especially to care for sensitive skin, BB Seaweed is a best-seller for its soothing, smoothing effects. No surprises here, it’s packed with none other than the ocean greenery itself! Seven pounds of it in each batch, in fact. This locally-harvested, nutrient-rich seaweed nourishes the skin, while finely ground almonds ever-so-gently exfoliate leaving skin perfectly smooth. We use a generous helpings of aloe vera gel and rose absolute to calm and soothe sensitive spots, and a gorgeous combination of honey and olive oil to moisturize. You look beautiful, BB!" - Lush
BB Seaweed looks a bit like mushy oatmeal in the pot, but it does wonders for my skin! I have combination skin - a bit oily, a bit dry. I've been applying a light layer of BB Seaweed all over my face at night, leaving it on for 15 minutes, than washing it off. You do have to keep Lush's fresh face masks in the fridge, so the masks are always quite cool on your skin, which I find to be very refreshing. BB Seaweed has a thin consistency, packed full of chunks of real seaweed. I can smell the seaweed in this formula - it isn't super strong, but it's not something that I love the scent of. This mask doesn't really dry too much on my skin even though it does contain kaolin clay. Lime tree flowers are the first ingredient in this mask, and I'll be honest, I've never heard of them before! Other ingredients include honey, ground almonds, and aloe vera gel. After I wash this mask off, my skin feels so smooth, hydrated, and purified, it's actually quite amazing! My skin has a nice natural radiance to it, and my skins texture feels refined.
See the chunks of seaweed?!
I'm super impressed with this face mask, great job Lush! If you've never checked out Lush's fresh face masks, you're really missing out. I find them to be so pampering, and I actually love that they need to be kept in the fridge. The masks have a 3 week lifespan before they expire, so you'll need to pamper yourself often to make sure none of it goes to waste - I won't complain about that! What's your favourite face mask from Lush? Have you tried BB Seaweed before?
This sounds so nice! I love Lush's cupcake, but I might try this one next! :)

I've used cupcake a bunch of times! I love both Cupcake & BB Seaweed, but I think I might prefer BB Seaweed :) It's a bit more hydrating/purifying for my skin!
DeleteI love the ingredients of Lush masks, but I find them so hard to use up! How much do you use per application and how often?
ReplyDeleteI know, they can be hard to fully use up! I apply a thin layer and use about 3 times a week, or whenever I have time to mask. You can also freeze the masks to keep them past the expiration date! :)
DeleteBB Seaweed is my favourite fresh mask- so nice on my sensitive skin! Glad you're loving it too :)
