August 2014 Beauty Favourites

It's that time again, when I tell you all about my recent favourite products! August has (sadly) come and gone, but it was a good month, filled with many wonderful beauty products! I have a good mix of cosmetics, skincare, and body products this month, so let's hop right in...

August 2014 Beauty Favourites

My mascara favourite has definitely been Kat Von D's Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara*, it's just amazing! I love how this mascara adds length, definition, curl, and volume to my lashes, and it doesn't smudge or flake at all! To keep my eye shadows staying gorgeous all day long, I've been reaching for L'Oreal's Colour Riche Eye Shadow Primer*. This is packaged in a convenient jumbo pencil format, so it's super easy to just glide right on to your lids. To prime my face, I've been using Smashbox's Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control*. This primer actually contains 2% salicylic acid, which is an ingredient known to help fight acne. I think that this formula would work best for anyone with normal-oily skin, as this does keep my skin quite matte throughout the day. I love how easily my foundation glides onto my skin after using this primer!

On my body, I've been obsessed with Senscience's Silk Luxury Moisturizing Body Crème*. This body lotion is thick, creamy, and highly moisturizing. The crème formula is very luxurious and pampering, and it absorbs into my skin easily, while deeply hydrating. There's a delicious vanilla scent to this body lotion - I'm just obsessed! Another skincare product that I've been using daily has been Caudalie's Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil*. After cleansing and toning my face at night, I'll apply a few drops of this magic oil. The mix of grape-seed, jojoba, rose & palmarosa essential oil make for a very luxurious oil with a thin, runny formula. In the morning, my skin has a natural radiance, and I feel as though my skin's texture has been improving over the past few weeks that I've been using this oil.

August 2014 Beauty Favourites

I've rediscovered Benefit's Erase Paste* in my collection. This is an excellent high coverage concealer, that can be used on dark circles or blemishes. I love that it still looks natural, even though it is high coverage. On my cheeks I've been loving YSL's Blush Radiance #9 Poppy Coral*, which is a very natural peachy coral colour. There's a slight shimmer to this blush, so it definitely brings a dash of radiance to your cheeks. To keep my lips looking their best, I've been using Fresh's Sugar Lip Polish*. This scrub has a thick, oily texture, so it hydrates your lips white exfoliating. My favourite lipstick for the past few months has been
Estée Lauder's Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Desirable*. This formula is creamy, hydrating, and quite pigmented. Desirable is a beautiful pinky nude that goes with anything! I love this shade and formula because I can easily touch up throughout the day at work without a mirror.

  6. I saw the YSL blushes the other day at Sephora and was pretty TEMPTED. But, if I had to choose one YSL item to get, I have my eye on one of their lipsticks!
