Fresh Sugar Honey Shine Lip Treatment

Most beauty lovers are aware of Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatments, but did you know that they also make glosses?! I've been trying out Fresh's Sugar Honey Shine Lip Treatment* ($18.50 USD/$22 CAD), and today I'm here to tell you all about it!

Fresh Sugar Honey Shine Lip Treatment

"A high-shine lip treatment that works to promote suppleness, improve definition, and preserve moisture while imparting a warm nude shine." - Fresh

Fresh Sugar Honey Shine Lip Treatment

Fresh's Sugar Honey Shine Lip Treatment comes packaged in a simple clear plastic tube, so you can easily see the shade inside. The lid is a chrome-bronze colour, and twists off to reveal a doe foot applicator. I really like that this gloss doesn't have a strong scent, just a very faint lemon scent - a toned down version of the scent of their balms.

This lip gloss is a pretty nude colour with pink undertones. There is a beautiful golden shimmer to this gloss, which adds a nice fuller look to your lips. The colour has a good amount of pigmentation, but it isn't fully opaque on my lips. Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Honey is a slightly more brown-nude shade with no shimmer. This formula is fairly thick, and it doesn't feel like a traditional lip gloss. I would compare this formula to that of Almay's Liquid Lip Balms, which I'm also a huge fan of. The formula is hydrating, thick, but not super creamy or slick. This gloss will cling to dry patches, so you might want to use Fresh's Sugar Lip Polish first to get your lips nice and smooth. I can get about 4 hours of wear from this gloss before I need to reapply, which is a bit better than average for my lips. This formula does lightly transfer onto cups when drinking, so you'll have to reapply after eating/drinking/kissing.

Overall, I'm definitely impressed with this lip gloss from Fresh! There are four shades in this range, and I also have the shade Cherry to try out (keep an eye out for a review on that very soon!). If you're on a tight budget, then I do think that Almay's Liquid Lip Balms are a great alternative. Have you tried out this gloss/balm formula from Fresh?
