Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Yes, this is probably the millionth review that you're seeing for Younique's Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes* ($29), but I'm still wanting to share my opinions with you on this mascara! This mascara is very different from anything that I've ever used before. You actually apply your favourite mascara first, and then use this product.

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

"Our simple three-step process combines Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers to help create the appearance of incredible thickness and volume to your existing lashes. Watch as your lashes transform into something you have only dreamed of! The 3D Fiber Lashes are water resistant but easily wash off with warm water and facial cleanser at the end of the day. Try it! It will quickly become your favorite makeup must-have!" - Younique

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Wands

I've been using this mascara over top of Kat Von D's Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara, which I'm already a huge fan of. I use one coat of that mascara, and then I apply the Transplanting Gel to my lashes. This is essentially a super thick and wet black mascara. Immediately after, before the transplanting gel dries, I apply the Moodstruck Natural Fibers. The wand for this product is really unique (Younique?), as there aren't any bristles, just a ton of little black fibers. I go over my lashes once or twice, and my lashes are instantly more voluminous and dramatic. I was honestly very skeptical of this system, but it really has impressed me! I love dramatic lashes, and this product gives me major volume without having to apply false lashes. I love that this system doesn't make my lashes feel heavy or weighed down. I'm not sure how this product would work on someone with short, straight lashes, as my lashes already have a nice natural curl to them. I don't mind a slightly clumpy look, and you're definitely not going to get a defined lash look with this mascara. Removal is very easy - I just use my normal makeup remover!

After, with Younique's Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

So, what do you think!? I really like this dramatic look for a night out or a special occasion, and it's a great alternative to false lashes. The extra two steps don't add more than a minute to my beauty routine, and I really don't have any complaints with this products! Would you be interested in trying a fiber mascara? Have you tried Younique's Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes yet?

  1. i'm intrigued that it's so easy but the reps have turned me off this product by being so pushy, which is too bad cause it actually looks quite cool.

    1. Oh that's really too bad! I haven't had any negative experiences with the rep that I'm working with, so it's probably just hit or miss!
