"Perfect formula, perfect application, perfectly portable. A dry shampoo powder, ideal for those on-the-go. For use as a fuss-free travel companion whle vacationing, after the gym as a quick-fix during the day." - Murale
Cake's Rush Brush comes in travel friendly packaging, with a small brush applicator. To use, simply turn the tube upside down, and the coloured powder will start to come out. I do find that this packaging can get a bit messy, since you don't have a ton of control over where there powder falls, especially when applying along the hair line. This powder is coloured, and I've been using the powder for Darkest Hues. My hair is very dark brown, and I was hoping that this powder would be a good match. Unfortunately, this powder is more of a cool toned taupe. I don't think that this colour will match too many natural hair tones, but there are two other shades available, one for blondes, and one for medium tones. The powder compartment is refillable, which is kind of genius!
This powder really does soak up excess oils, and it gives my hair a touch of volume. I already have quite a bit of natural volume, so I think that this would be more noticeable on someone with fine, thin hair. I really like that this powder feels natural in my hair, as I find that a lot of traditional dry shampoos can make my hair feel a bit gritty/dirty.
Overall, I'm a bit conflicted about Cake's Rush Brush! I like the travel-friendly packaging, but it can also be a bit messy at times. The colour match isn't great for my dark hair, but the formula is really nice. I think that if you have blonde hair then the light coloured powder would work wonderfully for you. Have you tried Cake's new Rush Brush? What's your go-to dry shampoo?
IT SMELLS SO GOOD. I have basically black hair and I didn't notice this at all when I applied it, so the shade definitely worked for me
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it! I don't really notice the scent of it actually!
DeleteI do not like this packaging, I have absolutely no control how much product comes out and sometimes the on and off position doesn't really work! :S
