Deborah Lippmann's Weird Science* ($22 @
Murale) is from the
Fantastical Holiday 2014 Collection, and it's not really a colour that I'd normally gravitate towards. This colour is a chartreuse (green-yellow) with golden shimmer. I don't normally like these Shrek-like colours, but the formula for this polish is too good to pass up!
Deborah Lippmann's Weird Science has a very pigmented formula, but I still used two coats just to be safe. The golden shimmer in this colour really shines in the sunlight - you don't even need a top coat! I do find that chartreuse in general isn't the most flattering colour on my skin tone, but I do think that it would look amazing on someone with a deeper complexion.
Deborah Lippmann's polish bottles are so classy, I just love them! These bottles would definitely look great if you stored them on your vanity. The brushes on Deborah Lippmann's polishes are a bit thin, so you have to use a few more strokes per nail compared to a wider brush (think OPI's Pro-Wide brush), but you get a cleaner finish.
Are you a fan of chartreuse polishes? Have you checked out Deborah Lippmann's Fantastical Holiday 2014 Collection?
The polish name seems perfect for this shade, and I just love this weird but gorgeous colour. I think I own six Lippmann polishes, they are a spurge but definitely have great formula :)
