Lush's Northern Lights Bath Bomb* ($5.95/100g) is the second product from the new Halloween collection that I'll be sharing my thoughts on! This bath bomb is a really fun, exciting product with a very relaxing scent.
"You won’t need to go far to enjoy a spectacular display of lights in the night sky! Drop this Bath Bomb in the water and watch as it puts on a spectacular light show – as the ends crackle and fizz away, watch as the middle begins to slowly dissolve to reveal gorgeous blue and neon green colors, turning your bathwater into a calming jasmine and ylang ylang-scented swirling night sky scattered with little stars." - Lush
Northern Lights is a purple tube with white stars. Simply drop this bath bomb into your tub full of water, and watch it fizz away. The outer layer dissolves quickly, but the center of this bomb takes a few minutes to slowly fizz away. Initially, the colour is purple, but then blue and yellow starts to appear. In the end, my bath turned a light purple colour. The scent of this bath bomb is extremely light - almost undetectable. I personally like my bath bombs to be more scented, so I was a bit disappointed with the lack of scent to this bomb. Apparently, Northern Lights has the same scent as Lush's Christmas Eve Bubble Bar - jasmine and ylang ylang. This bath bomb doesn't create any bubbles (that's not what bath bombs do!), so just sit back and enjoy the shifting colours.
I really loved the shifting colours and slow fizzing center of Northern Lights, but I do wish that it had a heavier scent to it. The lavender notes were so faint, so this would be a good option for those who want a relaxing bath with the tiniest hint of fragrance.
Have you tried any of Lush's Bath Bombs before? Which one is your favourite?
Yes I have tried Lush's bath bombs before and I have loved them all. I do not really have a favourite. Each time I buy them again I can never find the one I had before since they have changed them up so I try a new one
ReplyDeleteI've tried a bunch too and usually really love them! :)
DeleteGosh, this one is so pretty! All that color!!! I wish it was more fragrant though!
ReplyDeleteThe colours were so fun to watch as they changed! But ya, it was a bit too subtle of a fragrance for my liking.
Deletethis is really pretty but i wish it smelled stronger! i don't have it to try but i was so tempted by the purple.
ReplyDeleteI definitely wish it was more fragrant!
