"At the end of a long day, pop this Sparkly Pumpkin into the bath. As you crumble its golden shimmeryness under running water, you’ll feel instantly re-energized. An uplifting blend of juniperberry, grapefruit and lime oils will fill the room with an enticing, cocktail-like punch. And as you sink deep under the glittering gold water, you won’t be able to keep from smiling – probably because this little pumpkin is made to make every day bright." - Lush
This bubble bar is adorable - shared like a little orange pumpkin, and covered in gold glitter. You might remember that I've previously told you that I don't have a bath tub, just a shower. And sadly, this is still true. However, I did spend this weekend at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel (full post on that coming very soon!), so I was able to treat myself to a few baths. I couldn't resist using Lush's Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar, and I crumbled the whole thing into the tub.
As you can see in the pictures below, Sparkly Pumpkin turned my bath water a light orange colour, with a light amount of bubbles. The water was quite sparkly, which I absolutely loved. I do wish that this bar produced more bubbles, especially since I went ahead and used the entire bar. The bubbles did fully disappear within about 10 minutes. Bubbles aside, I absolutely love the scent of this bar - it's the same scent as Lush's Mr. Punch holiday soap. The scent is very uplifting, energizing, citrusy, and absolutely nothing like pumpkin (which makes me happy!). The scent was somewhat light in the tub, but it lingered on my skin for a few hours after bathing.
Lush's Sparkly Pumpkin smells amazing, but I do wish that it produced more bubbles. I want a full bubble bar to produce enough bubbles to cover me completely in the tub, and to last for at least a half hour. Is that an unreasonable request? Either way, I definitely enjoyed my first bath in almost a year! I also used Lush's Northern Lights, so keep an eye out for a review on that in the next few days!
Have you checked out Lush's Halloween line up yet?
I haven't looked at the Lush Halloween collection but this little soap is absolutely adorable! I love the gold glitter on the pumpkin. It's a shame it didn't produce more bubbles - that's the best part of a bubble bath, haha!

Isn't it cute!? I know, totally agree - more bubbles would have been awesome!
DeleteI picked this up (as well as one or two other things!) recently - can't wait to use it.

I hope you like it!
DeleteCan't wait to see your review on the hotel! Been wanting to stay there since my first trip to Ottawa!
ReplyDeleteThat bath bomb is cute but I'm not sure how I'd like bathing in orangy water lol.
I absolutely loved the hotel! I'll be reviewing it very soon :)
DeleteThis is adorable! & the scent sounds like something I'd love :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I loved the scent!
Deletethis one looks so pretty and I know I will love the scent. Does it have lots of glitters afterwards? One thing I don't enjoy is to have to clean my bath tub after a relaxing hot bath.
ReplyDeleteThe glitter didn't stick to the tub at all! I didn't have to do any rinsing or scrubbing! :)
DeleteWhaaaaaat?? I would have liked it to be more of a pumpkin-y scent, but citrus also floats my boat! Though, not a fan of how much glitter is in this. And bath bombs are the worst at bubbles. I find I really have to throw in a bubble bar, which is one expensive bath.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't actually like the scent of pumpkins, so I was really happy with the citrus scent! :)
DeleteAnd this is a bubble bar, not a bath bomb! So I was really expecting more bubbles!
Ooooh ok ok so I see now, my pumpkin is a lot flatter! Yours looks more like an apple!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Too funny! You're so observant lol
