Deborah Lippmann Autumn in New York

When it comes to jewelry, I definitely prefer silver. However, when it comes to beauty and makeup, I think that gold is more flattering. This weekend I was wearing Deborah Lippmann's Autumn in New York* ($22 CAD/15mL @ Murale) from the New York Marquee Collection, and I've been absolutely loving it!

Deborah Lippmann's Autumn in New York is a beautiful yellow-based gold. This polish has a metallic finish, but the formula isn't streaky or patchy at all. I used two coats of this lacquer, which left me with a rich, opaque finish. I've received so many compliments on this colour - it's very flattering yet not over the top. There is a slight shimmer to this polish, but it's not super noticeable on the nails. I did have minor chipping on day 2, which was really unfortunate since I love this colour so much!

So, what do you think of this chrome gold polish from Deborah Lippmann? Do you prefer silver or gold?
