If there are two brands that I absolutely love, they'd definitely be OPI and Coca Cola. I mean, I'm sipping on a Coke right now, and this blog originally started out as a way for me to share my love of OPI. So, of course I was super excited about OPI's holiday collaboration with Coca Cola. OPI's This Bear’s Got Flair!* ($18.95 CAD) includes the new glitter polish Bearest of Them All and an adorable plush polar bear! I decided to wear OPI's This Bear’s Got Flair! over OPI's Just BeClaus from the Gwen Stefani Holiday Collection. This glitter is definitely meant to be worn as a topper, as it's sheer and won't build up to an opaque finish.
“Both OPI and Coca-Cola strive to inspire happiness, encouraging consumers to celebrate life’s little moments of joy,” explains OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “The Coca-Cola Company’s signature polar bear represents the feelings of warmth and goodwill associated with the holidays. Reimagined as a plush ornament, the Coca-Cola polar bear is the perfect gift to pair with Bearest of Them All. This glitter nail lacquer provides sparkle for the holidays when layered over favorite OPI shades. This Bear’s Got Flair! is sure to bring lots of cheer to gift givers and receivers alike!”
How cute is that little bear!? This bear can actually be used as a Christmas ornament, and I will definitely be hanging mine on my tree this year (is it too early to put up my tree?). As for the polish, Bearest of Them All is a glitter topper. Small red and white circular glitter and large white heart pieces are suspended in a clear base. I find that the white hearts are a bit too large, and they don't lay perfectly flat on my nails. I had some issues with the hearts having a curved surface, and lifting off of my nails. You do have to fish around in the bottle a bit to get hearts onto each nail. I think that I would have preferred this glitter if it was made without the large white hearts, as they're just a bit too troublesome.
Have you spotted OPI's This Bear’s Got Flair! set in salons or spas yet? I think that this holiday set would make a good gift for anyone that loves both Coke and OPI. However, the polish itself does have some flaws, mainly with the white heart pieces. You can get the polish to work well, but it will take some work. With so many amazing glitter polishes out there, I really wish that this one was a bit easier to work with!
very cute
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteFor some reason, OPI never excels at glitters, I always expect that they would have improved over the years but they never did... :S
ReplyDeleteYa, I haven't had much luck with their glitters lately!
DeleteThat bear is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI think so too! :)
DeleteI don't know if this is out in the UK yet, but I've put it down on my Christmas wish list.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a perfect glitter polish for Christmas and winter and I know I'll wear it to death this year/next year.
