I've been intrigued by Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick line since it initially launched, so I was really excited to try out the shade Melted Nude* ($25 CAD)! This formula promises a high shine, ultra pigmented colour - a hybrid of a gloss, lipstick, and stain!
"The shine of a gloss, lasting power of a stain, and pigment-packed color of a liquid lipstick, all in one high-impact formula. Bold, long-wearing color glides on cleanly with the precision tip applicator, delivering rich color with staying power." - Sephora
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks have really neat packaging. The squeeze tubes make it super easy to dispense just the right amount of product. There is a sponge tip applicator with a slanted edge and 8 tiny holes that let the product flow through. This formula is incredibly creamy and hydrating, it almost feels like a tinted lip balm, but with an incredible amount of pigmentation. This long-wearing formula doesn't feather or travel outside of my lip lines, and the moisture lasts for hours.
While I absolutely love the formula of Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks, I'm unfortunately not a fan of the shade Melted Nude. I think that this nude shade is just a bit too dark for my pale skin tone, but I think that it would look nice on someone with a medium or tan skin tone.
So, while I love the formula of Too Faced Melted line, this shade just isn't for me. I'm really wanting to try out the shades Melted Fig, Melted Frosting, & Melted Candy. Have you tried any shades from Too Faced Melted line? Which shade is your favourite?
these are so cool I really really want to try them...but probably not that shade either!
ReplyDeleteYou'd love the formula! :)
DeleteSorry you didn't love this shade, but the formula of these really is great! xo

The formula is perfection!
DeleteI have a hard time with nudes in general, I usually have to add some lip gloss on top or else I look kind of scary! haha
ReplyDeleteI know, nudes can be so tricky!!
DeleteI bought this shade cause it looked so nice in swatches, but it didn't suit my NW15-20 skin tone, so I gave it to my mum who's somewhere between NC25 and NC30 and this looked even worse.
ReplyDeleteOh no!! That's really too bad :( I was hoping that this shade would look better on a deeper skin tone!
DeleteThe formula sounds amazing, but I'm also not loving this shade :( Have you tried any of the new shades they just released?
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't tried any of the new shades - hopefully soon! :)
