I've been a longtime fan of Lush's Shampoo Bars, and recently they've released 6 new formulas! I've been trying out two of the new shampoo bars - Brazilliant* & Honey I Washed My Hair*. If you've never heard of a shampoo bar before, then you're in for a real treat. These little pucks are solid shampoos. At first, I was super skeptical of these bars, but believe me, they really work! Simply rub the bar in your hands, or directly onto your hair, and a lather will form!
Brazilliant is a bright orange shampoo bar with a cheery citrus scent. This formula is meant for curly, thick, hard to handle hair (i.e. my hair). Brazilliant lathers nicely, and leaves my curls looking bouncy and defined. The orange scent lingers in my hair for about a day, which I absolutely love!
Honey I Washed My Hair:
"Lather up with this luscious honey shampoo and immerse yourself in our best-selling honey-toffee scent. With a generous helping of real Fair Trade honey, this sweetie of a bar will moisturize and soften hair without weighing it down, leaving it soft, bouncy and smelling irresistible. This solid self-preserving bar will last for up to 80 washes (that’s the work of three bottles of liquid shampoo!) and requires no packaging. How cool is that?" - Lush
Honey I Washed My Hair is a plain white shampoo bar, but it smells absolutely incredible, just like the matching Honey I Washed the Kids Soap. This formula lathers quite well, and leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and hydrated. Always make sure to let your shampoo bars dry for an hour or so before putting them into Lush's shampoo bar tin for storage.
Both of these new shampoo bars are real winners in my eyes! Honey I Washed My Hair is probably my favourite of the two, and it's the one that I brought on my European vacation. These shampoo bars are perfect for travel, since you don't have to worry about anything spilling in your luggage! Have you tried any of Lush's shampoo bars before? Which one is your favourite?
