Happy Saturday friends! Today I have a nude polish from OPI's Hawaii Colleciton to share with you, along with a fun glitter top coat from Quo by Orly! Nude polishes are great for work, meetings, or anytime you want a muted, natural nail, but they're also great bases to add glitter over!
First up is OPI's Do You Take Lei Away?*, from the new Hawaii Collection! This is a beautiful creamy light nude colour, with a great formula. I used two coats for a fully opaque finish. This polish has a surprisingly shiny finish, even without a top coat! I didn't have any issues with streaking, bald spots, or slow drying.
If a nude polish is too boring for you, then you can easily jazz up your nude mani with a glitter top coat. Quo by Orly has recently released their new Art Scene Glitter Top Coats, and I used Contemporary* over top of OPI's Do You Take Lei Away?
Contemporary is made up of tiny white circular glitter pieces, larger peach hex glitters, small black circular glitters, and the occasional black bar glitter pieces. This glitter topper is quite unique, but I do wish that the bar glitter was more prominent. I used this glitter on all 10 of my nails, yet only two nails have bar glitter on them! I like how Contemporary looks over this nude polish, and I also think that it would look nice over a navy polish.
Which mani do you prefer - the natural nude, or the fun glitter? I'm really liking both, and you can easily wear the nude mani to work, and then quickly swipe on the glitter top coat for a night out. If you wanted something fun yet simple, you could add the glitter topper on just an accent nail :)
That nail polish is very pretty and like you said would look very nice with glitter. Thank you for posting, I've been very interested in the Hawaii collection :D
