Avon's Ultra Color Indulgence Lipsticks have a slightly fruity scent to them, and an extremely creamy formula. I've been trying three shades, and I do find that the formula differs from shade to shade. The name of these lipsticks would suggest rich, full on colour, but I found that two of the three shades I tried actually had a fairly sheer finish. This formula is comfortable to wear, and I get about 3-4 hours of wear out of them before needing to touch up.
Peach Petunia is a beautiful sheer coral/orange shade, that's perfect for Spring! This is a shade that you can easily swipe on on the go without a mirror, which I love.
Plum Verbena is a berry shade, which looked really promising in the tube, but unfortunately I found the formula a bit hard to work with. This berry lipstick has a sheer formula and applies a bit patchy.
Red Tulip has beautiful pigmentation, and was exactly what I was expecting from this line! This red is gorgeous, and I think that it's pretty easy to pull off, as far as red lips are concerned.
I wish that all three shades were as pigmented as Red Tulip is, as there doesn't seem to be any consistency among the shades. Regardless, Red Tulip and Peach Petunia are winners in my book, while I would recommend skipping Plum Verbena. For only $5.99, these lipsticks are at a great price right now (they're normally $12!).
Have you tried any of Avon's lipsticks before? Which of these three shades is your favourite?
Red Tulip is stunning!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! :)
DeleteI made an order to these too and am waiting for it to arrive. I hope these lipsticks won't disappoint me because I've more miss than hits with Avon. :-/
