I'm definitely a lip gloss girl - I love lipstick, but I have to admit that I find gloss an easier option for everyday wear. I especially love sheer, easy to apply without a mirror-type glosses, and I think that I have found a new favourite! Stila's Magnificent Metals Lip Gloss in Kitten* ($32 CAD/3.3mL) is a beautiful shimmering sheer gloss with a creamy, smooth formula.
Stila's Magnificent Metals Lip Glosses are package in simple clear tubes with a silver cap. There's also beautiful gold detailing around the rim, but unfortunately the gold does rub off quite quickly, leaving a rather cheap look. Stila is a high-end brand, and for a $32 lip gloss I have to admit that I was a bit disappointment with the lackluster packaging.
Packaging aside, I really do love this lip gloss! There is a faint vanilla scent to this formula, which I absolutely adore. This gloss glides on smoothly, and the shimmer is so finely milled that you can't feel it at all on your lips. I love that this formula isn't sticky, but it also isn't very long wearing. I find myself having to reapply every 2-3 hours, sooner after eating or drinking. Kitten is a beautiful shimmery gloss, but don't expect a super pigmented colour from this gloss. I like it because it's an easy everyday lip gloss that will work with pretty much any make up look. I've been keeping this gloss in my purse, and it's been my go-to lip product for the past few weeks!
I'm definitely wanting to try out another shade from Stila's Magnificent Metals Lip Gloss line - I have my eyes on Pink Sapphire! Have you tried out any of these glosses before? I feel like they don't get a lot of love in the blogging world, but hopefully you've at least heard of this line before!
Very natural! I would also like the packaging to be a bit more luxe, especially when YSL glosses are so much more beautiful and not that much more expensive!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! YSL also does such incredibly packaging!
DeleteI think this would look great over lipstick or a stain! The packaging looks really pretty too -- too bad the gold wears off.
ReplyDeleteYou're right - it's a great topper!
DeleteI know, I really wish the gold didn't rub off!
