Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Cosmic

I'm a huge fan of anything glittery and shimmery, so I was incredibly excited when I heard about Urban Decay's new Moondust Eyeshadows! I've been trying out the shade Cosmic* ($24 CAD), which is a beautiful metallic white that I think is perfect for a brow bone highlight!

"This dazzlingly sparkly shadow innovates with a chic feel and not a single speck of chunky glitter. Microfine bits of iridescent sparkle collide with intense, dreamy hues and lush, 3D metallics for an effect that’s out of this world. And since Moondust has minimal fallout, the sparkle stays on your lids (and off your cheeks)." - Sephora

Urban Decay's new Moondust Eyeshadows pack some serious glitter, but they have surprisingly little fall out. Cosmic is a beautiful highlight shadow, but you can also wear it all over your lid as a base shade. The glitter in this shadow is not chunky at all - it's smooth and gives off a stunning sparkle. The formula of the new Moondust Eyeshadows is very creamy, smooth, and easy to blend. I get about 7 hours of wear from this shadow, but add on a few more hours if you pair it with a primer or a cream shadow.

If you don't already own a beautiful highlight shadow, then I think that this one is a great option. It is a bit pricey, especially for a single shadow, but the formula is really great. I already have a bunch of great highlight shadows in different palettes, but it is nice to have a solo shadow option. I'm also wanting to try out the shades Solstice and Moonspoon, they look gorgeous! Have you tried any of UD's new Moondust Eyeshadows? Are you a fan of glitter shadows?

  1. This is a beautiful brow bone highlight! I wonder if this would work as a cheek bone highlighter as well?

    1. Thank you! It might be a bit too pigmented to use as a cheek highlight, but you never know!
