I really like the packaging of this line - the bottles are easy to squeeze, and the white & purple colours are aesthetically pleasing. This line has that classic shampoo scent that a few drugstore hair care lines seem to have - no complaints here! The shampoo has a thinner formula, but lathers well. The conditioner is fairly thick, but still somehow lightweight. The styling product in this line is the SilkCrème, and comes in a small bottle with a pump dispenser. I find myself having to use about 7 pumps of this product, since such a small amount is dispensed each time. I also have quite thick hair, so most people won't need that much product.
Overall, I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with the results from this line from Dove. My hair was left feeling quite dry, and very frizzy. The amount of frizz is pretty embarrassing, and it didn't decrease with subsequent uses of this line. I do think that anyone with fine, limp hair (i.e. the people Dove say this line is meant for!) will like this lightweight formula, but it's just not for me. I need something a bit heavier, a bit more hydrating.
I guess this little experiment just goes to show that you can't just walk blindly into the drugstore and expect the same results from every hair care brand. Take some time to read the bottles, and find out what line will best suit your hair type. What works for your sister/bff/daughter/boss might not necessarily work for you. I do want to give props to Dove for creating a hair care line for aging hair, as that's not something that we see all that often!
