Contouring can have a dramatic impact on your overall look, but I have to admit that it's a hard skill to master. MAKE UP FOR EVER's Pro Sculpting Duo in 1 Pink Beige* ($45 CAD) combines a contour and highlight shade in one small compact, so you can easily chisel out your cheekbones without much thought in the morning!
I really love the packaging of this product - the compact is small enough to toss in your purse, but the mirror is still large enough to be effective. I've been using this duo with MAKE UP FOR EVER's 156 Large Flat Blush Brush* ($43 CAD), which is definitely better used with the highlighter shade. There are two shades available in the Pro Sculpting Duo formula, and I have the lighter of the two. Pink Beige combines a gorgeous pink and silver toned highlighter with a bronze contour shade that does have prominent orange undertones.
To be honest, I can't get the contour shade to work with my pale skin tone. It's very pigmented, and it's just too orange for my liking. That being said, I'm absolutely obsessed with the highlighter. This silver/pink highlight is everything that I could ever want/need in a highlighter - a smooth, creamy formula, finely milled shimmers offering a luminous glow, and a long-wearing formula. The 156 Brush applies this highlighter perfectly to my cheekbones, and I've been happily surprised by how nicely this highlighter pairs with all of my favourite blushes.
So I'm kind of torn by this contouring/highlighting duo. On one hand, I won't get much, if any use out of the contour shade. However, I've been using the highlighter daily for weeks now, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. If MUFE decided to sell the highlighter on its' own I think that a lot of people would really love it, but it does seem like a bit of a waste to buy a duo with the intention to only use half of the product. Have you tried either of MUFE's new (& limited edition!) Pro Sculpting Duos? Were you able to make the contour shade work for you?
