Hi there friends! Today I have a metallic polish to share with you from OPI's new SoftShades Collection. I normally prefer a brighter nail, but it was fun to switch it up a bit with this more toned-down collection. OPI This Silver's Mine!* is probably the boldest shade in this collection, but it's still very "office appropriate"!
I used three coats of This Silver's Mine! to get an opaque finish. This warm silver has slightly brassy undertones, making it a bit more special than just another silver polish. Metallic polishes are notorious for leaving streak marks on your nails, and unfortunately this polish was no exception. From a distance, my nails looked good, but up close, you could definitely see the streakiness. I also experienced a lot of chipping with this polish. By day 4, my nails were a bit of a mess. Unfortunately, I chose to wear this polish to the cottage for the long weekend, and I forgot to bring polish remover! So, I was stuck with chipped nails for a few days. At least chips aren't as noticeable with a shade this neutral, right?
Unfortunately, this polish just didn't wow me. There are so many other amazing polishes from OPI that I would recommend over This Silver's Mine! The SoftShades Collection in general just doesn't suit my tastes, but I know that a lot of people prefer sheer polishes. Have you picked up any polishes from OPI's SoftShades Collection yet?
Oooo I do think that it looks stunning, but I always love these sorts of colours x

Thanks Taylor! It is a pretty shade, just not something I normally would reach for!
DeleteI can't say I'm a fan of this collection. I haven't tried any of them, but I'm just not interested in them - I find it a bit boring actually. But I can see brides flocking to them though, they're perfect for weddings.
ReplyDeleteYa, I feel the exact same way Chantal!
