Schmetterling Haus is situated in the centre of Vienna, and it's very easy to find by public transportation. For €6, you get entrance into the butterfly house, home to hundreds of beautiful butterflies! It is very hot inside the butterfly house, so you'll want to hang your coat up before entering.
Once inside Schmetterling Haus, you'll feel like you've left Vienna, and been transported to a tropical island! There are loads of trees, plants, flowers, etc. There are also artificial feeding stations, as well as plates with apple and banana slices for the butterflies. You aren't allowed to touch the butterflies, they're just there to look at. When we visited, most of the butterflies were brown in colour, but when they spread their wings a gorgeous blue colour was revealed!

Dylan and I both had a lot of fun at Schmetterling Haus, it was such a unique stop on our European itinerary! It took us about 20-30 to walk through the butterfly house, but we did talk our time to stop and take in the beauty of all of the butterflies! You can spend as long as you want in the green house, or you can do a quick walk through.
If you're a nature lover, or just craving something out of the ordinary while in Vienna, then I think you'll love Schmetterling Haus! Schmetterling Haus can also be rented for special events - you can even get married surrounded by butterflies! Now that's unique!
I've never been to Vienna - great photos x
