Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Bittersweet, Bang, Fetish, & Obsessed

As a bit of a blush enthusiast, of course I was excited to hear about Urban Decay's brand new powder blush formula! Their new Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush is now available in 10 amazing shades, and I've been trying out 4: Bittersweet*, Bang*, Fetish*, & Obsessed*! You've seen UD come out with blushes as a part of palettes, but I'm so happy to finally see single shades available!

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush

"We've all seen what happens when bad blush happens to good people, and it isn't pretty. But you don’t need crazy skills to fake the perfect flush; you just need the right product. Urban Decay introduces Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush—the foolproof way to create that effortless, radiant look. Just a few quick swipes of Afterglow gives you the kind of easy, sexy, lit-from-within glow that makes people wonder if you spent the whole weekend in a secret love den. The best part? Much like the lingering effects of a romantic rendezvous, Afterglow won’t quit. Our extremely blendable, finely milled formula goes on sheer and provides eight long hours of wearable, buildable color. And wait until you feel it! Lightweight yet luxurious, Afterglow has a soft, creamy texture that always applies beautifully. The lineup: 10 scintillating shades…some with a matte finish, and others with a hint
of shimmer." - Urban Decay

These new blushes come package in cute little mirrored compacts that have magnetic closures. There is a "UD" cutout on the tops of the lids, which lets you see a peek of the colour of the blush inside. There's also a colour-coded label on the back of each compact, which I think is so smart!

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Bang

Bang is a really showstopper. This bright orange-red is bold, but you can also sheer it out quite a bit if you wanted to. This formula is very smooth and creamy, and easy to apply.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Bittersweet

My favourite from the bunch is Bittersweet - a bold purple. It's quite rare to see a purple blush shade like this one, but of course you can count of UD to come out with unique and bold shades like this one. I was surprised to find out how wearable this purple is - once it's on the cheeks it turns into more of a berry tone.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Fetish

Fetish is a medium pink-nude shade that can look slightly boring in the pan, but it's a great everyday neutral. I feel like this is a great blush option for those days when you just don't know what to wear. The formula is creamy and easy to blend out.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Obsessed

And finally we have Obsessed, a bright barbie pink! This blush actually applies very sheer on my cheeks, and it's quite wearable. I think that this blush will work best on lighter skin tones, as I'm not sure that it is bold enough to show up on deeper skin tones.

I've come to expect greatness from Urban Decay, and their new Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blushes are no exception! I do get about 8 hours of wear from this formula, although the colour does start to fade pretty quickly after that 8 hour mark. The formula of all four shades that I've tried has been smooth, creamy, and easy to blend out - what more could you ask for from a powder blush!?

Like I said, there are 10 shades in this new line, and I already have my eyes on Rapture and Score. What shade is your favourite from the four that I shared? Have you picked up any of these new blushes to try for yourself yet?
