I've never met a powder foundation that I felt offered as much coverage as my favourite liquid foundations, but I keep on trying! Urban Decay's new Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation is available in a wide variety of shades, and I've been using Fair Neutral*. Read on to see if I think that it's worthy of the powder foundation title, or if it's just another setting powder!
Urban Decay's Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation comes packaged in a sleek metallic case, along with a mirror and a sponge. There's also a cute purple floral pouch to protect your compact while travelling. The packaging is a bit bulky, since it does also house the sponge. I personally prefer to use my own brushes, but the sponge will come in handy for on the go touch ups.
This formula from Urban Decay is very smooth and creamy, and I find that on its' own it offers light to medium coverage. Paired with some concealer, this is a great option for daily wear, or for a lighter makeup look. I've also been loving using this as a setting powder over my favourite liquid foundations, for a more polished look. I love how this powder gives me a semi-matte look, while blurring the appearance of pores.
At $43, this is definitely an investment, but I do like that I can use it both as a setting powder and as an actual powder foundation, as advertised. The wide variety of shades should include something for almost everyone.
Are you a fan of powder foundations or do you prefer liquid formulas?
