Cottage Beauty Essentials

I just spent the weekend at Dylan's cottage, and I thought that it'd be fun to share some of my favourite Cottage Beauty Essentials with you guys! When I'm at the cottage, it's all about keeping things easy and simple, and focusing on spending as much time as possible enjoying the sun, sand, and water!

Hopefully the weather is on your side, and you'll be blessed with gorgeous sunny weather! You'll want to protect your skin from the sun, and I've personally been loving Clarins' Sunscreen Cream High Protection SPF 30*. This formula is very hydrating, yet doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. After a full day in the sun, you'll want to keep your skin moisturized. I've been using
Institut Esthederm's Tan Enhancing Lotion*, which locks in moisture, and actually works to prolong the life of your tan! For those hot Summer days you'll want to keep yourself smelling fresh and feeling clean, but I refuse to wear anti-antiperspirants with aluminum. I discovered Adidas 0% Aluminum Absorbent-Deo in Fitness Fresh in the aisles of Shoppers Drug Mart, and I'm really impressed! For nights out by the campfire roasting marshmallows, you'll want to keep yourself protected against mosquitoes and other bugs. I've been using Avon's Skin So Soft Bug Guard Insect Repellent Spray II*, which repels mosquitoes for 5 hours and deer ticks for 7 hours!

As for makeup, I've been absolutely loving how easy Caudalie's Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturizer* is! This lightweights tinted moisturizer also contains broad spectrum SPF 20, making it the perfect Summer/cottage option!

While at the cottage, I can get a bit lazy when it comes to my hair, so dry shampoo is an essential! Colab's London Classic Dry Shampoo* comes in super convenient travel size bottles, and prides its' formula on being sheer and invisible. There are a few different formulas/scents - London Classic and Rio Tropical are both great!

And finally, when you're showing off more skin in the Summer months, a good razor will come in handy! I absolutely love Schick's Intuition Razors, since the built in moisture bars mean that you don't have to bring along a separate bottle of shaving cream. The new Coconut Milk and Almond Oil* scent smells incredible!
