The packaging of these new Dior Addict Fluid Shadows is just gorgeous! The clear heavy plastic tubes allow you to easily see the shade inside, which I always appreciate. However, I'm not a huge fan of the thick brush applicator. I find that it's too thick to apply this product as a liner, so you will need to use a separate brush for this purpose. Additionally, as excited as I was about this product, I unfortunately did not love it once I put it to the test. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get this product to work as a shadow. When applied with my fingers, the product collected in my crease and stuck to my fingers - absolutely no product was left on my lids! When I tried applying it with a brush, the product became cakey and most of the product clung to the brush. I've never seen anything like this, especially when the product swatches so beautifully!
The 5 shades that I tried are beautiful - it's such a shame that the colour didn't translate onto my lids! Destinée is a gorgeous maroon with purple undertones. Cosmic is a bright violet. Aurora is a beautiful pinky beige. Phenix is a yellow based gold shade. Univers is a steel-taupe that changes colour slightly depending on the angle.
While these Fluid Shadows swatch beautifully, they just don't work well on my lids. If you've tried out these liquid shadows/liners and have any application tips, please let me know in a comment below!
